The National Breast Cancer 3 Day 60 Mile Walk

Posted on Sep 17th, 2008 by CathrynTaylor : Inner Child Worker CathrynTaylor
This weekend Cathryn is participating with thousands of others in the Susan G. Komen National Breast Cancer 3 day 60 mile Walk.  It is the finale to a journey which began over six years ago.

On the morning of Cathryn's 54th birthday, in her morning meditation, she was inspired to celebrate her journey into "Cronehood" by training to complete a marathon. Cathryn embarked on a yearlong program. "

the following in an excerpt from the preface of her manual entitled, Soul Steps.

"Never before had I exercised with such spiritual intent. During the course of that year I happened to visit the Auschwitz/Birkenau Concentration Camp.  I found herself moved to connect with Mother Earth, and through meditation, ask the Earth how I could be of service to her.  What ensued with this question was one of the most incredible experiences of my life.  My challenges to entering "Cronehood" co-mingled with this land's burdens and over the next year Mother Earth taught me what it meant to return to the vibration of Joy.  I have taken all I learned and incorporated it into my 90-Day program called Soul Steps."

That was six years ago.  Since then Cathryn has supported many in reaching their own unique finish lines.  She, herself, has completed four marathons - one in each of the four corners of the United States. Her journey is chronicled in verse and can be found at this link: Take A Soul Step With Me!

She has also written the words to a song called, "Take A Soul Step With Me" which depicts the actual experience of a conscious connection which can occur at events such as the 3 day Breast Cancer Walk. This weekend's walk is a personal milestone for Cathryn.  It fulfills a commitment not only to her own inner child but to her higher guardians as well.

Cathryn will be posting her experiences of the 60 mile walk throughout the weekend.
